Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American actor and singer. Parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. She was raised and from Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen was born in Michigan's Huntington Woods and was raised by the family of a Polish mother and father who has a mix of German, English Irish, Scottish as well as Irish. Kristen was already an accomplished entertainer in the early stages. She was able to land her first part in an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mother established her with an agent prior to her turning 13 and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. Additionally, she began to take acting lessons privately. Bell played an uncredited part on Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell was a member of the drama and music clubs in Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production at the high school she attended earned her the role of the lead Dorothy character. Bell studied musical theatre at the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell, who graduated in 2001, decided to leave her studies at the university to play in the role of Becky on Tom Sawyer. She made her first film credit with Pootie Tang during 2001. However, her scene cut, and her only appearance is in the final credits. Bell made an appearance alongside Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
